Laura Brock started Powell Logic and Design in December of 2000.
Prior to the launch of her new company, Laura's career spanned 19 years of PC and mainframe programming and systems analysis.
Laura spent her last five years in the corporate environment serving as a project leader for Computer Horizons Corporation. She worked on insurance billing systems and managed a project team of up to 8 programmers. It was during this time that she became interested in web application projects and the database systems those projects required.
In 1998, Laura began shifting her focus from the the mainframe environment to the web applications environment, with particular attention on database systems in general and the Microsoft SQL Server platform in particular.
When Laura launched Powell Logic and Design in 2000, Technology Projects was her first and most dedicated client. It only took a year before it became obvious that the two companies would both be better served functioning as a single entity, and so the companies merged in March of 2002.
Laura wears a lot of hats for Technology Projects. She codes effectively in Javascript, CFML, VBScript and SQL, and she serves as the company's primary MSSQL Administrator.
